College Scholarships
College Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each are awarded to students who are entering their Junior or Senior year in a four year college or university in Bexar County, Texas. The scholarships are paid directly to the four-year college or university in Bexar County which student will attend.

Requirements of Applicant:
· Must enroll for a minimum of 12 hours of credit at a 4 year college or university in Bexar County
· Must have completed a minimum of 60 hours of college credit
· Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
Applications must include:
· Biographical letter of no more than one page.
· The biographical letter should include the following:
1. Personal data including name, address, e-mail address, phone number (residence and cell) and any information you choose to share about your family and your background
2. Statement of financial need
3. Educational goal
4. Volunteer and community activities
· Letter of acceptance from a 4 year college or university in Bexar County and date you will be attending.
· Official undergraduate transcript, including most recent semester completed.
· Minimum of three letters of recommendation. (These should be from professors, other school personnel, or employers, not from family members or personal friends.)
· Completed Assistance League application (This may be obtained from your school financial aid office or at www.assistanceleaguesa.org.)
$2,000 scholarships are paid directly to the four year college or university in Bexar County which students will attend.
All applications must be postmarked by Friday, Feb. 27, 2009. Incomplete applications will not be considered. They should be submitted to:

- Operation School Bell - provides school clothes for over 4,000 elementary children in need of clothing in order to attend school
- Togs for Tots - provides clothing for more than 5,600 children from birth to age five at the request of 27 community agencies
- Watch Me Grow - distributes over 20,000 booklets as a guide for parents about the developmental stages of their children
